Starting out on ZBrush i have a sculpting attempt starting off from a ball which i would use a clay brush tool to apply more mass to my object to shape it in to a rough design i had in mind. My overall goal was to make either a mutated or malformed rodent design or adapt it in to a customized dragon species.

To make this a better model with out a large ammount of subdivides. I used a setting under Geometry called Dyna Mesh this allowed me to lower the resolution to block out the base shape better which i could work with later.

With the current progress of this design i would look to see how i can improve the detail and shape of the creature to meet my intended design.

With more work being added on to this rodent looking head i developed it more with different brushes such as the move, clay, pinch and clay buildup as the newer tools i was getting acustomed to.

Altering the geometrys resolutiion and getting more familiar with the camera allowed me to design something more for what i was originally wanting.

Moving from Maya to ZBrush has been a very interesting change for how to design something and i am finding some new and proffered ways to design creatures and models in Z Brush i previously couldn’t do as well in maya. This Dragon looking creature will be continued to be worked on by me to end up with a finished result.
